NovoEdge — Energy / Data

The future of compute doesn’t depend on the power grid.

We turn renewable energy into AI compute infrastructure — deployable in 90 days, off-grid, without waiting on the interconnection permits that are frozen or banned across more than a dozen U.S. states.

The opportunity

The power grid can’t keep up — and regulators know it.

The AI boom sent GPU compute demand soaring right as U.S. power grids started to strain. Communities and lawmakers responded clearly: slow down construction of traditional, grid-tied data centers.

1st
state to ban data centers: New York, executive order July 2026 (≥50MW, up to 1 year)
11+
U.S. states with proposed moratorium legislation in 2026: GA, MD, MI, NH, NY, OK, SC, SD, VT, VA, WI
1MW
restriction threshold in Virginia — one of the largest data center markets in the world
20+
municipalities and counties with active local bans, from Missouri to Georgia

Active cases: St. Charles (Missouri) banned new construction for a year. Lysander (New York) passed a 6-month moratorium in May 2026. DeKalb County (Georgia) postponed new developments until June 2026. Multiple Indiana counties have suspended projects, and one California city recently voted for a full ban.

NovoEdge doesn’t compete for the grid — we skip it entirely. Our model is 100% off-grid and powered by our own renewable energy — exactly the kind of infrastructure these moratoriums weren’t built to stop, since most of them target strain on the public power grid and municipal water use. New Hampshire actually moved the opposite direction this year, passing a law that makes it easier for data centers to self-supply power off-grid — validating exactly this approach.

How it works

Own energy. Own compute. No middlemen.

A NovoEdge decentralized data center is built in four layers, each designed to operate independently from public infrastructure.

01 — Generation

Renewable energy

Solar, wind, tidal, or biogas, sized specifically for the site’s load.

02 — Storage

Battery backup (BESS)

At least 12 MWh of battery storage guaranteeing continuous 24/7 operation, regardless of solar or wind intermittency.

03 — Infrastructure

Modular containers

Prefabricated GPU compute units, deployable in 90 days, built to Tier 3 power standards.

04 — Monetization

AI compute

GPU capacity sold to actively expanding AI compute buyers, with demand currently outpacing supply.

Why NovoEdge

A partner, not just a technology vendor.

90-day deployment

Prefabricated modular containers, ready to operate in a fraction of the time of a traditional data center.

Structured financing

Models where the site owner doesn’t necessarily put up construction capital in cash.

Proven engineering partner

Our modular infrastructure is engineered and supplied by a specialized data center technology partner, under an exclusive regional agreement.

Single point of contact

NovoEdge manages the on-site project from start to finish, for the full term of the agreement.

About us

Energy and compute, under one roof.

NovoEdge develops, manages, and operates modular data centers powered by renewable energy in Puerto Rico and the Dominican Republic, designed to meet the growing demand for AI GPU compute — without relying on the traditional power grid.

We work with landowners, renewable energy generators, investors, and local contractors to turn energy and real estate assets into high-value compute infrastructure.

OUR TECHNOLOGY

Our modular data centers, cooling systems, and compute infrastructure are engineered and supplied by a specialized data center technology partner under an exclusive regional agreement, built to Tier 3 power standards. NovoEdge manages every project on-site, from planning through operation.

Let’s talk
